The Eccles Art Center announces the fifth annual celebration of pride during Pride Month. 

ENTRY DEADLINE: FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2024

This June, the Eccles Art Center is proud to celebrate Pride Month. We support the coming together of artists and art appreciation, through the offering of this competition of shared creative expression. When the world is disheartening, a show of support and acceptance is all that someone needs to feel understood. We ask artists to create using the colors of the Pride flag. 

Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Blue, Violet, Black, & Brown 

ENTRY SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• Open to all artists who presently reside in the state of Utah. 

• Original works no larger than 60” x 60” in any visual medium including paintings, prints, monoprints, drawings, graphics, pottery, sculptures, textiles, and photography are eligible. 

• REPRODUCTION PRINTS such as giclée  ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for entry. 

• ALL 2-dimensional entries, regardless of size, MUST have a hanging wire on the back for submission. Entries submitted with only alligator hardware, D-ring, V-ring, or keyhole hangers will NOT be accepted. Please click here to read our framing requirements.

• The EAC is not equipped to display audio or video works at this time. 

• Work must have been completed within the past two years and not have been previously exhibited in a juried exhibit sponsored by the Eccles Art Center.

• Works consisting of multiple parts will not be accepted. 

• Works must be presented tastefully, and be able to be viewed by art patrons of all ages. Works that may be suggestive or pornographic will not be accepted. 

ARTWORK DROP OFF:

Artwork must be received at the Eccles Art Center during regular gallery hours from May 20 through May 24, 2024.  The Eccles Art Center is not responsible for works damaged due to incorrect or poor framing. Artists will be responsible for delivery and retrieval and any fees that may be incurred due to shipping.  Works must be exhibit-ready.  

SCHEDULE:

• May 20 through 24, 2024 - Artwork received at the Eccles Art Center, 2580 Jefferson Avenue, Ogden Utah 84401. The EAC is not liable for artwork while in transit. Deliveries are accepted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
• May 28 through 31, 2024 - Artists notified of work accepted for exhibit.                 
• June 7, 2024 - 5 to 9 p.m. Artist reception, awards posted, meet and greet.
• July 1 & 2, 2024 - Unsold artwork available to be retrieved.

AWARDS: A total of $1500 in prizes will be awarded.

         Best of Show:        $300.00

        First Place:        $200.00           
        Second Place:   $100.00
        Third Place:       $100.00

SALES: The Eccles Art Center will retain a commission of 35% on works sold during the exhibition.

EXHIBIT OPENING:

A reception for artists, friends, and the community will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Art Center. Awards will be posted at the reception, and online at www.ogden4arts.org 

The exhibit will continue through June 29, 2024.

The Eccles Art Center cannot accept responsibility for works damaged due to shipping, and incorrect or poor framing.    

I hereby acknowledge that a low-resolution image of my work may be used in online marketing & sales for the Eccles Art Center. 

I hereby acknowledge that artwork left over 60 days at the Eccles Art Center is deemed abandoned and may be sold or disposed of at the Board of Directors' discretion.
