This July, add a visit to the Eccles Art Center’s Traces of the West competition exhibit to your Utah Pioneer Days celebration!

The Eccles Art Center's Traces of the West Competition is an annual western-themed art contest for local artists, and is sponsored by Ogden Pioneer Days.

Exhibit opens July 7th, and will be on display until July 29th.

ABOUT THE COMPETITON:

The Ogden Pioneer Days—Traces of the West Competition is open to artists who presently reside in the state of Utah. Artists must create work of a western theme, including (but not limited to) western landscapes, Native/Indigenous Americans, cowboys, cowgirls, indigenous wildlife and domestic animals. Original works in a variety of media will be represented.  Reproduction prints and photographs will not be included in this exhibit.

Many of the works on display in this exhibit would be a perfect fit in a mountain cabin, farm or ranch house, creating a splendid addition to your western art collection!

This competitive art exhibit received funding from the Ogden Pioneer Days Foundation, Ogden City through Ogden City Arts and Nine Rails, the Utah Legislature’s Division of Arts and Museums, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Eccles Art Center’s regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed Sundays and major holidays including July 4, and 24, 2023. For information, please call 801-392-6935
