Competitions

The Eccles Community Art Center offers a variety of Competitions throughout the year for professional and amateur artists that are exhibited in the ECAC's galleries.

  • Held biennially usually in February/March, even years. Open to resident Utah Artists working in black, white and shades of gray.

  • Held biennially usually in February/March, odd years. Open to resident Utah Photographers.

  • Women - the Creative Edge

    Held in March (Women's History Month), this competition celebrates local female artists in all genres.

  • Plein Air Competition

    Held in July. Open to regional artists working in media conducive to "en plein aire" (outdoor) creation.

  • Colors of Pride

    Held in June (Pride Month), this competition celebrates diversity in a disheartening world. It is a show of support and acceptance for all.

  • A Invitational Competition for artists nationally working in Western themed media.

  • Held in August. Open to resident Utah Artists working in all media except photography.

  • A competition for Designers to interpret works from the Annual Competition with flowers, mid to late August.

  • Held in December in the Carriage House Gallery. Open to Utah resident artists working in all media except photography with works being under 8 x 8.
