The Eccles Art Center's annual Plein Air Competition will be on exhibit in our Carriage House Gallery during the month of July.
For this competition, artists were asked to create works on-site (or "en plein air" - French for "in the open air") at any outdoor location in Weber County. Subject matter could include - but was not limited to - Weber County landscapes, buildings, outdoor festivals, etc. Artists had to have their working canvases stamped with the Art Center logo before beginning to paint, to ensure that each work was created during the competition time frame (June 26 - July 5).
