The Eccles Community Art Center offers a variety of Competitions throughout the year for professional and amateur artists that are exhibited in the ECAC's galleries.

Scholarship competition for high school seniors currently attending any Northern Utah high school. Over $20,000 in scholarship funds are awarded to winners.

FEBRUARY - Black & White Statewide Competition
Held biennially on even years (2024, 2026, etc.). Open to resident Utah Artists working in black, white and shades of gray.

FEBRUARY - Photographic Statewide Competition
Held biennially on odd years (2023, 2025, etc.). Open to resident Utah Photographers.

MARCH - Women: the Creative Edge
Held in March (Women's History Month), this competition celebrates local female artists in all genres.

JUNE - Colors of Pride
Held annually during Pride Month, this competition celebrates diversity in a disheartening world. It is a show of support and acceptance for all.

JULY - Traces of the West
Sponsored by Ogden Pioneer Days, this annual competition of Western-themed work is open to any Utah resident artist.

SUMMER - Plein Air Competition
Held in June/July. Open to regional artists working in media conducive to "en plein aire" (outdoor) creation.

AUGUST - Annual Statewide Competition
Open to resident Utah Artists working in all media except photography. No theme requirement.

A competition for floral designers to interpret works from the Annual Competition with flowers, mid to late August.

NEW Competition - artists must create work using only blue hues. PHOTOGRAPHY NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY.

NEW Competition - All entries must prominently feature portraits, human or animal faces. All mediums eligible for entry, including photography.

DECEMBER - Petite Impressions
Held in the Carriage House Gallery. Open to Utah resident artists working in all media except photography with works being under 8 x 8.

DECEMBER - Modern Abstract Competition
Annual competition of modern-abstract artwork, open to any artist currently residing in Utah.
