Celebrate Western Art and Local Talent This July at the Eccles Art Center
The Eccles Art Center invites the community to saddle up and celebrate a summer of creativity, culture, and classic Americana with two unique exhibits this July: Traces of the West in the Main Gallery and The Palette Club of Ogden in the Carriage House Gallery.
The month kicks off with a public reception on Friday, July 4th from 5 to 8 p.m., featuring live music by the Utah Old Time Fiddlers and delicious Dutch Oven cobbler served for dessert. Stop by between your backyard barbecue and the evening fireworks for a dose of artistic inspiration and old-fashioned fun. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Traces of the West, sponsored by Ogden Pioneer Days, is a regional competition celebrating the legacy, beauty, and rugged spirit of the American West. This juried exhibition, held annually at the Eccles Art Center, showcases artwork from across the region that captures Western landscapes, culture, and heritage.
In the Carriage House Gallery, visitors can enjoy the work of the Palette Club of Ogden, a collective of talented local artists. This exhibit highlights a wide range of styles and mediums, offering a rich and vibrant complement to the Western theme.
Both exhibits will be on display July 4 through 26, 2025 at the historic Eccles Art Center, located at 2580 Jefferson Avenue in Ogden. Gallery hours are weekdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Center is closed on Sundays and holidays.
Celebrate art, heritage, and community this July at the Eccles Art Center—where the spirit of the West comes alive!
