Showcase Your Art in Utah’s Premier Juried Exhibition
For more than five decades, the Eccles Art Center’s Statewide Competition has celebrated the talent and creativity of Utah artists. Now in its 52nd year, this juried exhibition invites artists from across the state to share their best work and be part of a tradition that reflects the diversity of Utah’s art community.
Open to artists working in a wide range of media and styles, the competition welcomes both emerging and established creators. Selected entries will be exhibited throughout August 2026 in the Eccles Art Center’s Main and Carriage House Galleries.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES
The Statewide Competition is open to all artists who presently reside in the State of Utah.
Artists may enter up to two pieces. Works consisting of multiple parts (i.e., dyptych /triptych) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Original works in any medium, including paintings, original prints, monoprints, drawings, graphics, pottery, sculpture, textiles, and mixed media, are eligible.
Photography is NOT eligible for this competition.
Reproduction prints, including giclées, are NOT eligible for entry.
Digital Art: For the purposes of this competition, Digital Art is defined as artwork created directly by the artist using digital tools such as tablets, styluses, and art software. All entries must be original works, conceived and produced solely by the submitting artist. Photography (filtered, manipulated, or otherwise), scanned images, found graphics, stock imagery, and AI-generated content are not considered digital art.
Artwork generated wholly or in part by artificial intelligence (AI) will not be accepted. Entries must be conceived and created directly by the submitting artist.
Size limitations: 3D entries may not exceed 60 inches in length or width.
2D clip frames or front-loading frames WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Entries must have been created within the last two years, and must not have been previously exhibited in a juried exhibit sponsored by the Eccles Art Center
Entries must be ready to hang, mounted, gallery wrapped, matted and framed, or otherwise ready for display.
Framed work must include a wire or a similar hanging system. Works will not be accepted with only alligator hardware, D-rings, V-rings, or keyhole hangers under any circumstance. Please review the Eccles Art Center framing guidelines prior to entry.

Work will not be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026.
LIABILITY
Every reasonable precaution will be taken to protect the work submitted. Work not accepted for exhibit left after August 6, 2026, and accepted work left at the Art Center after September 1, 2026, will be left at the artist’s own risk, and storage charges may accrue.
Works left at the Center for more than 60 days will be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
The Eccles Art Center does not accept responsibility for works damaged due to incorrect or poor framing.
SALES
The Eccles Art Center will retain a 35% commission on all sales. Selling your work is encouraged but not required.

EAC Award of Merit: $100
PICK-UPS
Work not accepted for exhibit must be picked up on or before August 6, 2026, during regular Art Center hours.
Accepted work not sold must be picked up on September 1, 2026, during regular Art Center hours.

OPENING RECEPTION & EXHIBIT
An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eccles Art Center.
Awards will be announced and posted at the reception.
The exhibit will be on display August 7 through August 29, 2026.
This project has received funding from Weber County RAMP and Ogden City and is supported by the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, with funding from the State of Utah and the National Endowment for the Arts.
ENTRY FEES & FORMS
$10 per entry
$5 per entry for Eccles Art Center members
Members with an Artist Membership receive one free entry into this competition.
Entry fees are used for prize money and publicity and are non-refundable.
Entries must be clearly identified with the artist’s name, title, medium, and price or insurance value. Identification tags will be provided at the time of entry.
Notification of jury results will be emailed to the address provided during registration.
