FACES
A Competition That’s Anything but Ordinary
Step into a gallery filled with expression, imagination, and the universal language of the face. The Eccles Art Center’s FACES Competition invites artists from across Utah to explore one of the most compelling and timeless subjects in art—faces in all their extraordinary forms. From subtle glances and bold emotion to symbolic features and purely abstract interpretations, this exhibition celebrates the endless ways a “face” can be seen, felt, and understood.
Artists working in every medium—painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art—bring powerful perspectives to this juried show. Visitors will encounter works that capture the spirit of humanity, reflect cultural identity, reinterpret the natural world, or push boundaries into imaginative, surreal, or non-human territory. Whether literal or conceptual, traditional or experimental, each piece reveals a unique story and invites viewers to look closer.
FACES is more than an art show—it is an exploration of connection, perception, and expression. Join us as we discover the familiar in the unexpected, celebrate individuality and creativity, and honor the artistry of seeing and being seen.
