Eccles Art Center Presents: “Faces”

A November 2024 Competition Exhibit

The Eccles Art Center is excited to unveil its November 2024 Competition Exhibit, Faces, a New Competition Exhibit. Set to open on November 1, 2024, this exhibit celebrates the diversity of expression and artistry within the local community, featuring pieces that capture the essence of human and animal faces on canvas.

The Faces exhibit invites audiences to explore a wide range of artistic interpretations of human and animal faces, emphasizing the uniqueness of each portrayal. Through painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, local artists have created pieces that explore the emotions and stories carried by every face, making this exhibit a captivating experience for viewers of all ages.

“We are thrilled to bring together two exhibitions that both celebrate the power of faces and visual storytelling,” said Patrick Poce, Executive Director of the Eccles Art Center. “By showcasing local talent in traditional and tattoo art, we hope to provide a platform that broadens perspectives and fosters a deeper appreciation for the diverse expressions found in our community.”

The Eccles Art Center invites the public to join the opening reception on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests can meet the artists, view both exhibits, and enjoy light refreshments. The event is free and open to all art enthusiasts and community members.

Throughout November, visitors can also participate in additional programming, including artist talks, workshops, and hands-on activities that celebrate and explore the art of both exhibits. Works will be available for purchase, offering a unique chance to support local artists and take home a piece of the exhibitions.

The Faces and Beyond the Ink exhibits will be on display from November 1 to November 30, 2024, during regular Eccles Art Center hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free, with donations welcomed to support ongoing community programs.
