Seniors Create! A variety of art and crafts theme projects that encourage the creative abilities of participants 55 +. Class size is limited. Supplies provided. Pre-registration to reserve a space and supplies is requested. Class will be on Fridays from 11:00 to noon
- August 11, 2023, Sunrise/Sunset: Paint and frame two mini watercolor paintings.
- August 25, 2023, Succulent: Adding potting soil to a small clay tray, mug or tea cup plant a succulent garden.
- September 8, 2023, Colors of Autumn: Using Fall Leaves for inspiration, create a watercolor lapel brooch or tie pin.
- September 22, 2023, Fall into Florals: Using the exhibit in the center’s main gallery for inspiration, paint and frame a 5 x 7 watercolor floral still life.
- September 29, 2023, Pin a pumpkin: Using Halloween fabric sew a pumpkin pin cushion.
- October13, 2023, Spice up your jacket: Create a felt pumpkin or jack-o’-lantern lapel brooch or tie pin.
- October 20, 2023, On or Off the Vine: With acrylic paints design a pumpkin or jack-o’-lantern on a small canvas.
- November 10, 2023, Season’s change: Using yarn scraps weave a small coin/change bag.
- December 8, 2023, A Tree for your Gnome: Create a mini watercolor painting of a holiday gnome and tree.
- December 15, 2023, Sun catcher: Invite the sun in, design a Dale Chilhuly inspired sun catcher or ornament.
Tuition/Friday: $8 members, $10 nonmembers. Register for 10 Fridays: $60 members, $75 nonmembers.
