Experience one of Utah's longest-running and most respected juried art exhibitions at the Eccles Art Center. The 52nd Annual Statewide Competition brings together exceptional artwork from talented artists across Utah, showcasing a remarkable variety of styles, mediums, and artistic perspectives.
Displayed throughout both the Main Gallery and Carriage House Gallery, the exhibition celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation that define Utah's thriving arts community. From traditional paintings and sculpture to contemporary works, visitors will discover an inspiring collection of original art.
Opening Reception & Awards Presentation
Join us on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. during Ogden's First Friday Art Stroll for the exhibition opening and awards presentation. Meet participating artists, view the award-winning artwork, and celebrate another year of artistic excellence. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
For more than 50 years, the Statewide Competition has provided artists with a distinguished venue to exhibit their work while giving the public the opportunity to experience some of the finest contemporary art being created throughout Utah.
Art in Bloom
During the exhibition's final weekend, the galleries transform with the return of Art in Bloom, one of the Eccles Art Center's most beloved annual events.
Inspired by selected works from the Statewide Competition, floral designers create stunning arrangements that complement and interpret the artwork on display. The result is a unique gallery experience where fine art and floral design come together in a vibrant celebration of creativity.
Art in Bloom opens with a special reception on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The floral installations will remain on display throughout the galleries on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, offering visitors a limited opportunity to experience this colorful exhibition.
