BizART 2025 Competition Exhibit

"What in the World?" by Jessica Marine

The Eccles Art Center (EAC), located at 2580 Jefferson Avenue in Ogden, is delighted to present its October exhibitions: the lively BizART Competition in the Main Gallery and a collection of works by artist Nancy Ness in the Carriage House Gallery. Both exhibits will be on view October 3 through October 31, 2025. A public reception for the artists will be held on Friday, October 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

The BizART Competition makes its return to the Eccles Art Center as a showcase of the unusual, the whimsical, and the delightfully eccentric. Artists are invited to explore the unexpected, celebrating the beauty of the bizarre through playful experimentation and daring creativity. From quirky curiosities to thought-provoking oddities, BizART is an invitation to embrace imagination in its most unconventional forms. Visitors can expect a gallery filled with surprises at every turn—works that are bold, quirky, and unapologetically fun.

"Woodland Trails" by Nancy Ness

In the Carriage House Gallery, the Eccles Art Center is proud to feature the expressive works of Nancy Ness. Ness’ art reflects a balance between abstraction and the familiar, with each series offering a journey of exploration and discovery. Her practice embraces experimentation, allowing both precision and spontaneity to guide the outcome. The result is artwork that captures the delicate dialogue between control and chance, intellect and instinct—inviting viewers not only to see the finished piece, but also to experience the creative process behind it.

The Eccles Art Center invites the community to enjoy these vibrant and thought-provoking exhibitions throughout October. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all works are available for purchase.

Experience the art of imagination, from the unconventional to the inspired.
