Eccles Art Center Announces September Exhibitions and Special Events
OGDEN, Utah — The Eccles Art Center invites the community to celebrate a new month of art with the Utah Watercolor Society’s Two-Star Signature Show, an exhibition by artist Tyson DeForest, a one-day “From the Vault” art sale, and the center’s annual “Secret Show” fundraiser.
The Main Gallery will feature the Utah Watercolor Society’s Two-Star Signature Show. This exhibition celebrates accomplished members of the Utah Watercolor Society and highlights watercolor's expressive range, technical excellence, and enduring appeal.
In the Carriage House Gallery, Tyson DeForest will present paintings inspired by dreams, memory, and familiar spaces. By “bending time,” he transforms fleeting images and emotions into works that connect physical and imagined worlds.
An opening reception for both exhibitions will be held Friday, September 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., in association with Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll. The public is invited to view the exhibitions, meet artists, enjoy light refreshments, and experience an evening of art and community. Admission is free.
Also on September 4, Studio 2580 will host “From the Vault,” a special one-day event featuring paintings offered for sale from the Eccles Art Center’s vault. This rare opportunity will allow visitors and collectors to discover artwork not ordinarily available to the public. The event will take place during the First Friday opening celebration.
On Saturday, September 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Eccles Art Center will present its “Secret Show” fundraiser. Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of mystery, creativity, and community while supporting the Art Center’s exhibitions, educational programs, and continuing mission. The September exhibitions are free and open to the public during regular gallery hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed Sundays and holidays.
