Time to Call it a Day by Don Weller - 2018 Grand Prize Winner

The Ogden Pioneer Days, and The Eccles Art Center's Main Galleries will exhibit works from Western themed artists during the Ogden Pioneer Days - Traces of the West. This invitational competition will open Friday, July 5th and continue through Saturday, July 27, 2019. A reception for artists, and the public will be held in association with Ogden’s Art Stroll on Friday, July 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.  Awards will be posted at this reception.

The Ogden Pioneer Days - Traces of the West is comprised of recent works with a Western theme.  This year categories are two -dimension and three dimensional art.  The two dimensional category will include: drawing, painting and photography with the three dimensional category includes sculpture.  Local artists throughout Utah as well as those from Arizona, and Idaho are participating.  Thirty-three artists have accepted an invitation to exhibit.  They include: Dianne Adams, Doug Adams, Ryan Adams, Gayle Allen, Dan Bauer, Erin Berrett, Allen Brockbank, Lori D Burchinal, Michael Calles, Bonnie Conrad, Susan Cramer Stein, Keith Dagley, Kelly Donovan, Ronald Glenn Driggs, James Fain, Brent Flory, Bonnie Frucci, Curt Fuller, Mike Gardner, Jerry Hancock, Tim Harmon, Stephen Henry, Susan A Johnson, Cara Koolmees, Don Miskin, Steve Stauffer, Nicole Taggart, Don Weller, Daren Wilding, and Larry C Winborg.

The Eccles Art Center’s regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed Sundays and major holidays including July 4th, Independence day, and July 24th, Statehood day. For information, please call 801-392-6935
