Course Description: Join award winning artist Cameron Hubbard as he teaches you the same tried and tested method of painting which helped propel his work into the public scene. This modified take on the Carder Method is met with universal applause and can be learned by trained and untrained artists/enthusiasts alike. The course is split into three categories beginning with the basics; “The Fundamentals of Drawing and Form”. Next comes the section on “Color Theory” where we delve deep into the idea of color and color mixing. Finally, the course ends on combining all of the elements from above to aid in the completion of a true work of art.
Who Is This Course For? This course is perfect for those who are eager to learn new skills. It will meet you where you’re at, which is to say, you don’t need to know anything at all to join, but even for the more experienced artist, there is so much to gain from this course. Do note, this is an accelerated course so be prepared to move fast and have fun!
Instructor’s Note: This method applies to all types of subject matter, such as landscapes and still-life, however I will be focusing on portraiture; making it the perfect course for those looking to improve their portrait painting skills.
The recommended medium for this course is oil. For those who are uneasy about the chemicals traditionally associated with oil paints, I’m pleased to inform you that this method is all natural, eliminating the need for any harsh chemicals or thinners. You will need to supply your own paints and brushes.
Upon entry into the course, you will receive a welcome letter with further course details as well as a supply list.
