Students will explore the basics of value, subtractive method, implying the third dimension as well as color mixing and hues. This is a good workshop for those interested in learning about oil painting without the need to purchase many supplies. A short supply list will be provided to registering students. The teacher will provide the oil paints.
Students will need a black & white 11x14 copy of a colored picture. For simplicity sake, find a subject with at least 5 distinct values in larger shapes. Enlarge this copy to a proportional black & white copy on inexpensive 11x17 bond paper. Please no flowers, exat reflections, copies of paintings or portraits. If you are unsrue, the teacher will provide reference copies for you.
Class size is set at a minimum of 5 students with the maximum set at 12.
