
Over a four week course students will view camera types, pixel information, lens types, how to operate your camera, speeds, file types, photographic composition, lighting, photographing people, printing and storage of digital images. Students will be encouraged to take photographs and share their images with the group.
John Hampton has been a photographer for over 20 years. His photographic background includes sports, weddings, portraiture, industrial, and commercial photography. He worked as an industrial/public relations photographer for Hercules Aerospace for six years and owned and operated J.L. Photography for over ten years. He has a wide knowledge of both photography and darkroom tehniques and practices, as well as photographic equipment. He holds a B.S. degree in Art/Photography from Weber State University and has been published in photographic trade publications.
