Learn to dance tango with us! Argentine tango is an improvised social dance, known for its beauty, passion, drama and excitement. It fosters the experience of oneness and presence. Learning tango will develop your balance, coordination and flexibility, as well as provide you with gentle cardio, rich music, and a meaningful social experience.
This class is designed for beginning dancers and is open to everyone who would like to continue to improve the basic elements of this dance or take on a different role.
We will start with exercises in balance, coordination, body posture and continue with tango walking, lead and follow communication, navigation on the dance floor and musicality.
Prepare to have fun and make new friends. Who can join: Complete beginners are welcome to join in. You don't need a partner.
What to wear: Wear comfortable clothing and secure smooth-soled shoes.
